4022. Double wedge regulation : Method of regulation of headworks of canals, long closures are not permissible and where the discharge is such that the ratio of velocities in the river and the pocket is unfavorable : openings of the gates close to the divide wall are larger than those further away. If the barrage feeds canals from both the banks, the openings are  minimum at the center, and increase gradually towards the divide walls located on each bank.
